Stuart Castle

Stuart Castle is the former summer home of George Warren Brown and Betty Bofinger Brown in Eureka, Missouri. Dr. Wallace Stuart bought the property in the 1960's and gradually built a "castle" around the foundation for his wife. The "castle" took about a decade for Dr. Stuart to finish. The marriage ended shortly after Dr. Stuart finished the construction work, and Dr. Stuart left the property. Rod Sterling investigated the property several times, and had many long conversations with Dr. Stuart. Rod told Dr. Stuart about all of the spirits on the property, including one male spirit who only stayed on the third floor. Dr. Stuart was shocked, as he had never told anyone about the male spirit on the third floor! Dr Stuart confirmed that there were several spirits on the property, including Mrs. Brown, whom he called a "poltergeist." Dr. Stuart and his family would see Mrs. Brown as a full body apparition walking around the house and the property. Dr. Stuart had motion detectors placed in the floor and peepholes built in the walls of the castle so the spirits would not be able to catch him off guard! Another doctor bought the property and eventually lost the house to foreclosure. Betty left Stuart Castle after meeting Rod Sterling during his investigations, and is a now permanent member of the Ghost Syndicate Investigation team. The videos show Betty interacting with Rod Sterling during an investigation, discussions with the male spirit on the third floor, and a pipe organ playing (Betty loved classical music and opera).
